Eligibility for Usage

Our establishment caters to an adult audience. All guests, with the exception of day visitors, are required to be aged sixteen years and over. This stipulation is not applicable to children associated with the company.

Booking Protocol

Bookings may be facilitated via telephone, email, or our website. A reservation is confirmed upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit, amounting to 50% of the total booking fee per pitch night. In the event of non-receipt of the deposit within seven days, the pitch will be made available for rebooking. Full payment is mandatory at least 30 days prior to arrival, or upon confirmation if the booking is made less than 30 days before arrival. In cases where the booking is placed less than four weeks prior to arrival, the full payment is due at the time of booking.

Group reservations involving more than one pitch require payment in full at the time of booking, and must include comprehensive personal details of each unit. Pitches will be assigned on the day of arrival. Please note that while we strive to accommodate preferences for adjacent pitches for guests visiting in groups, allocation is primarily determined by need and is not guaranteed.

Contractual Agreement

This agreement is established with Nicola Smith and becomes effective upon issuing the confirmation form. It is incumbent upon the guest to ensure the details therein accurately reflect their requirements. Discrepancies, if any, must be reported to us promptly. The conditions stipulated in this contract do not infringe upon your statutory rights.

Pricing Policy

Upon confirmation of your booking, the price of the holiday will remain constant. We require a deposit of 50% at the time of booking.

Arrival and Departure

Unless otherwise agreed, pitches will be ready for occupancy from 2.00 pm. We request guests vacate the pitch by 11.00 am, barring prior arrangements.

Visitors and Guests

All-day visitors of anyone staying at Ernies’ are to park in the Layby just outside of our site.

Environment and Equipment Usage

All waste, including rubbish, wastewater, and chemical waste, must be disposed of as per provided instructions. Please make sure you have not left any rubbish in your awing or outside your vans, as Willow may come calling. To prevent damage to the grounds, awnings and tents must be erected on hard standings. All pegs must be removed from the grass, and guests may be held responsible for damages to lawn maintenance equipment.

Television reception on Ernie's Plot cannot be guaranteed. Dogs must be lead at all times, excluding our own dogs, Willow and Fern. We reserve the right to mandate the removal of pets deemed a nuisance or threat to other guests. Washing vehicles, caravans, or boats is prohibited on the premises.

Disposable BBQ’s and Fire Pits

In order to ensure the safety and preservation of our natural environment, we have updated our terms and conditions regarding the use of disposable barbecues and fire pits. Please be advised that with immediate effect, no disposable BBQs or fire pits are permitted to be used on the campsite. This measure is in place to prevent potential fire hazards and to maintain the pristine condition of our surroundings. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy. Your compliance helps us keep the site safe and enjoyable for all guests. We thank you for your commitment to a sustainable and safe camping experience.

Awnings and Tents

To preserve the natural beauty and integrity of our campsite, we kindly request all guests to adhere to our updated terms and conditions concerning the erection of awnings and tents. Effective immediately, all awnings and tents must be erected on designated hard standings only. This measure is crucial in preventing damage to the grass and ensuring a sustainable environment for all to enjoy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in complying with this policy. Your support helps us maintain the quality and aesthetics of our campsite. Should you require assistance or have any questions regarding suitable locations for your awnings and tents, please do not hesitate to contact us. General Courtesy and Safety

Ernie's Plot bears responsibility for the electrical system up to the socket on the hook up at the pitch, which has a maximum power output of 16A per pitch outlet. Guests are responsible for ensuring their electrical connections and appliances do not exceed this limit, and are safe for usage. Guests may be held financially responsible for damage to Ernie's Plot's equipment or that of other guests arising from the use of unsuitable or unsafe electrical equipment.

In order to maintain the quality and appearance of our campsite, we also kindly remind all guests of an important update to our terms and conditions regarding vehicle use on the premises. Please refrain from driving on the grass, particularly during the winter months. Driving on the grass can create deep trenches and significant damage to the terrain, resulting in a recovery period that can span several months. By adhering to this policy, you help us preserve the campsite's natural beauty and ensure it remains a pleasant environment for all guests throughout the year. Behavioural Standards and Contract Termination

By booking with us, guests agree to adhere to site rules. We reserve the right to demand departure from the site if these conditions are not met. Health and Safety

As site owners, we disclaim responsibility for personal injury or loss/damage to guests' property, including caravans, motorhomes, campervans, cars, awnings, and personal belongings.

Holiday Modifications or Cancellations by Us

In the unlikely event that we are unable to honour your booking, and are compelled to cancel before your holiday commences, you are entitled to a full refund of any money paid. This excludes cancellations or changes that arise from unforeseeable or unusual occurrences beyond our control.

Complaints and Feedback

Please voice any complaints or issues during your stay for swift resolution. Regrettably, we cannot offer alternative booking dates or refunds if your stay is curtailed or cancelled due to inclement weather. Extension of your stay is subject to availability and should be discussed with us directly.

Price Alteration

Pitch prices quoted on our website are per pitch per night. We reserve the right to revise our prices at any time. However, any confirmed bookings will be honoured at the price quoted at the time of booking. No refunds can be offered if guests depart prior to the end of their booked holiday, unless they do so due to an obligation breach on our part, which would justify cancelling the holiday.

Privacy Policy

Information provided at the time of booking will be stored electronically for administrative purposes only, and will not be shared with third parties. We may occasionally communicate special offers at our park. If you prefer not to receive these communications, please let us know.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of holiday cancellation by you, we request you notify us as early as possible. However, please note that if you cancel within 14 days prior to your arrival, your payment is non-refundable. Non-arrivals on the booked day require full payment unless a rebooking is arranged.

In the event of cancellation on our part due to unforeseeable or unusual occurrences, you are entitled to a full refund of any money paid.
